On 18 September, from 11:30 to 13:00 CET, CELSI hosted a Methods Seminar at the CELSI office and online via Zoom, led by CELSI Deputy Director Monika Martišková and CELSI Junior Researcher Daryn Zholdasbay. The seminar focused on AI as a research method and the potential use of AI agents in research and organisational work.

The seminar introduced AI chatbots and AI agents from a methodological perspective, highlighting the importance of the broader working setup around AI, including models, instructions, tools, context, permissions, and human checkpoints.

Particular attention was given to defining clear boundaries for AI use and maintaining human responsibility for evaluating and accepting outputs.

The seminar concluded with a discussion of how AI agents could be used at CELSI, including principles for their use and examples of how such agents could support our work.
